Limited Japanese release with live and rare tracks on a bonus disc. Also includes 20 page color booklet with photos, set list, tour schedule and discography.
Liner notes apparently reviewing the 11/12/2000 show at MSG in New York, but in Japanese. There is no booklet that even remotely resembles the US release, but there is a little black and white booklet with what looks like lyrics to the CD's. 20 tracks. All housed in a deluxe carboard gatefold digipak.
The first CD is the usual Japanese edition of Just Push Play, with "Won't Let You Down" and IDWTMAT (no "Face" though). The version of Just Push Play is also the uncensored version (Fuckin-A is never mixed out). In addition, there is a second CD, with a radio remix of JPP, California Jam versions of Same Old Song and Dance, Draw the Line and Chip Away at the Stone, and Texxas Jam versions of Big Ten Inch and Lord of the Thighs.
Early information I received on this release (Dec. 11, 2001 - then calling it "Just Push Play + Live & Rare") also stated that the following songs would be included, after Lord Of the Thighs, but seems they didn't end up on it when it was eventually released. One Way Street (Line from Mama Kin Music Hall '94), Walk This Way (Live from MTV Spring Break 3/97), Dream On (Live from MTV 10 Anniversary), I Don't Want To Miss A Thing (Live from Cape Canaveral, FL 29/6/98)

The tracklist of this (501535 3), an official Columbia Records release, is quite surprising as a majority of the tracks (10) were recorded for Geffen, not Columbia. Out of the remaining six, three are from Just Push Play while one is off of Nine Lives and the Armageddon Soundtrack respectively. The final track is the live version of Dream On from ALSOS.
In any case, this compilation features some great artwork. The cover has an Aerosmith plane ("AEROSMITH" drawn on the wings, and the logo at the back, together with the text "LAMB 777") flying over a landscape with what appears to be hedges in the shape of the winged logo.
Inside the booklet is an Aerosmith story. The story is written in '97 or '98, because they say that Aerosmith plans to return to the studio for its next album in early 1999. It has some 1997 concert pics next to the story. There also are some pics of an Aerosmith hot-air balloon (in the shape of a hammer with Aerosmith and LAMB written on it as on the plane) and an Aerosmith space rocket (one that is on the NASA terrain to be viewed by tourists). In front of the rocket is a car on a parking lot with LAMB written on it again, as on the plane and the hot-air balloon. On the parking lot is another Aerosmith logo. At the background of the story inside the booklet you see a picture of a hot-air balloon contest and you can see the hammer shaped hot-air balloon.

Universal Music Company release in the EU in a cardboard slipcase. It contains the international version of "Big Ones" and a second CD, a digest version of "A Little South of Sanity" (8 tracks).
On the first CD a track listing error details "Angel" as "Angel on my Bike", and on the second "Hole In My Soul" is listed as "Hole In My Sole"
The picture is a scan of the box. The 2CD inside the box's insert foldout leaflet is the same as in the normal Big Ones release (GED 24546). The backcover is the same as that one of the box. The front of the cardboard slipcase is same as on the international Big Ones release, except for a "Special Limited Edition 2CD" logo. The inlay (the part you see when you lift the CDs out of the case) is the background of the backcover with an Aerosmith wings logo.
The tracks on the second bonus disc are edited together so continuous and taken from all over the 2 CD set "A Little South of Sanity Disc" (ie not contiguous)
(Geffen/Universal Music (EU) 424 546-2 (CD1) 490 852-2 (CD 2). Released in Germany June 26, 2001, (6069 490851 24).

This is a compilation released by Geffen Europe/Universal Music Company in some European countries in late 2000.
It's title is 'Classic: Aerosmith' and it's a part of a series of albums, called 'The Universal Masters Collection', that has been released for several different bands.
The liner notes have pictures of the band circa Get A Grip and Nine Lives and has a brief write up about the band's history written by Daryl Easlea. It says, "This CD represents Aerosmith’s worldwide renaissance, comprising material from their Geffen albums, Done With Mirrors, Permanent Vacation, Pump and Get A Grip."
All it says on the CD is made in the EU so a general European release. The liner notes inside are dated Aug 2000 and apparently it was released November 12, 2000 (Geffen 497 441-2). 76 min 20 sec (Made in EU). Actual track times do not match up with CD booklet

I don't really know anything more about this compilation (bar-code: 0 255298 097502) other than that it's made by All Stars Music ltd. The cover says 'All Stars 2000', so I suppose that's when it was released... The booklet has the tracklist in it. The pictures on the cd are mainly from 1993 - 1994.
Total time: 73:47

This release (CD 157.754) has the same tracklisting as Aerosmith's original Greatest Hits up to track no. 9. It does not include "Remember" though, but instead has a couple of tracks recorded live appended at the end. "Lord Of The Thighs" is mislisted as "Lord Of The Thights."
The CD does not detail the source of the live tracks, but all of them are from "Live! Bootleg." The track for "Train Kept A-Rollin'" also contains "Draw the line (live)", and Train starts bout 5:00 into it...
I'm not sure what to think of this one, if it's an official release or a bootleg. The person who told me about this disc found it in 1998 at "ricordi", a big italian music store for only about $5. On the cover it says "Licensed from Masquerade Music Ltd., UK / Lollipop Music S.L., Spain". Because of the fact that it was found in a famous italian megastore AND it has the authorization of SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers it can't really be a bootleg...

This CD (SCET100012) is a European release which has exactly the same songs as the original Greatest Hits release, only the cover is different.
It has no informationbooklet so it has very little info in it. The cover says '©1998 RAREST RECORDS (LONDON). A Division of S.T.P Ltd.' It also says: Produced by Richard Driscoll, Engineered and Remastered by Sascha Burzynski, Sleeve Designed by Daniel Wilkins.
The backcover (right) is also fairly simple. A black and white recent photo of Steven Tyler sitting.

In April 1997, Columbia re-issued the original "Greatest Hits" album with the addition of 7 extra tracks (International only, Not in the US, Columbia COL 487350 2 UK).
This Greatest Hits album varies greatly from the
normal American version. The typical album discography
that is in the U.S. one is here, except there's an
extra page that features a few photos of the band and
has a feature about Nine Lives. The other side of the
booklet focuses on the tracks of the album and
features a misprint as it states that Last Child is
from Toys in the Attic, when it's really from Rocks.
Also, the two pages featuring photos of albums and
singles relating to the U.S. Greatest Hits album are
not included here.

Not sure if this should really be included, but... This is a limited edition of Nine Lives released in the Netherlands only by a CD-shop called vanLeest. This box is made of wood. On the front is the wings logo and the text Nine Lives in silver color. The back and sides are blank. On the inside it says "vanLeest Compact Discs" and a number: "0607". This box is probably made by vanLeest to promote the Nine Lives album. I don't think it's an official release.
Inside the box is a normal Nine Lives CD. It's a CD with the original cover, with the snakes. Nothing special about the CD, and all that's written on the box is the wings logo, Nine Lives, and vanLeest compact discs...

This is an Australian special with Classics Live and Aerosmith's Greatest Hits 1973-1988 in a sleeve, like the sleeves they put out when they combined 3 of the Aerosmith albums. In the end its just those albums with an outer sleeve bundling them together. Its put out by Sony Australia, The Raw Deal series (TRD 041).
The box has two misprints. 1. It states that track 3
of the album is Walk This Way, when it's really Sweet
Emotion. 2. It states that Classics Live has 9 tracks
and breaks up Three Mile Smile and Reefer Head Woman
into two different tracks, even though they're
actually featured on the same track on the album.
The artwork in the Greatest Hits cd is almost the same, with a few additional pictures on the reverse side where the Columbia catalogue is listed. Nine Lives is also listed with the caption: "You try and fit this much sly, sass, cunning, booty-slammin' & mama-jammin' into just one lifetime." There are also a more additonal pics of the band on the side where the tracks are listed. The Classics Live! CD is basically what you would find in America, although it obviously is foreign. The CD cover lists the tracks only, not who wrote them or the time info. It also doesn't have the Aerosmith logo on it. The artwork is not very sharp, which is a good indication that it is a foreign print (not sure which though). The tracks are the same on both CDs.

This black cover is a cardboard cover slipcase which goes over the CD cases. There's no info on the covers. The person who told me about this release bought it in the Netherlands.
The box has three misprints. 1. It states track #3
on each album is Walk This Way, when they are really Sweet
Emotion. 2. It states that Classics Live has 9 tracks
and breaks up Three Mile Smile and Reefer Head Woman
into two different tracks, even though they're
actually featured on the same track on the album.
The person who told me about this release actually got the 'Greatest Hits 1973-1988' cd (instead of the "best of" on the slipcase), so I don't know if this is a major error on the cover if it was to be the 'Greatest Hits 1973-1988' cd in the set. If so, the same info as for the white version (above) applies to this set aswell!
If anyone has additional info or a better scan of the cover please e-mail it to me

This is a 10 CD Box set that was issued by CBS in Australia, in either the late 80's or the very early 90's. Since the Live! Bootleg is on 2CD's, I guess it was before the 80 min CD's showed up, which means the set is from the late 80's, as 2 of the Pandora's Box 1991 CD's were more than 74 min long.
I'm not sure that the official title of the release is "Aerosmith Collection", but the front has the winged logo and it says "Collection". In the top left corner of the album it also says "Includes Rare Joe Perry Project Limited Edition Solo Album"

In 1982 the CBS label released an Aerosmith LP called Rock Giants. It was printed in Holland (Cat No. 54449) and the liner notes are (I think) in German or maybe Dutch...
It was released in Europe only, as far as I know, as part of a series of albums, each 'Rock Giants' album dedicated to a CBS/Columbia recording artist.

Gold Disc was a Japanese LP released on the Sony label
in 1978. ref 26AP 1326. Nice insert supplied with it.
The difference between this and the "Mail Order release" (see below), was just that: "ordinary commercial LP" as opposed to "mail order only LP."
This, the commercial LP (sold at ordinary shops), "Gold Disc," was sold for 2600 JPY at that time. The Mail order LP was a little cheaper than "Gold Disc." Japanese fan Akira think "(maybe) 2300 or 2400 JPY at that time."
Of course, the latter also lacked a track included on "Gold Disc," and the covers were obviously different too, with the Gold Disc LP cover having the same GOLDEN-circle-design, as Gold disc Aerosmith.
The LP label mark of GOLD DISC was CBS/SONY's old label, White and orange, while AEROSMITH BEST(red) had the new CBS/SONY mark, same as USA Columbia red label. Thus, it appears the RED-cover BEST is newer than GOLD Disc.

Extremely rare Japanese mail order only release for CBS SONY FAMILY CLUB from 1978 (not an Aerosmith fan club release from '76, as previously stated). The track listing is almost the same as the Gold Disc Album, but without the track "Bright Light Fright."
Not sure under what the title I should list this LP. On the spine of the sleeve, aswell as on the record label, it says only Aerosmith!
This is one of the best album series pressed for mail order catalog. CBS SONY Family Club also released compilation of CBS recording artist, Simon & Garfunkel, Santana, Chicago etc.
The back sleeve is just filled with Japanese writing, and there is an insert
with the words of the songs in English!
The catalogue number is FCPA 501

This one (GEFD 24445) is the limited edition of Get A Grip. It was released in Europe and the US. The European version has "Can't Stop Messin'" added, just as on the normal European version of Get A Grip.
The image on the CD pressing is the same on both editions (but different from the original release), being a ring through the cow's teat. The pattern of the cowhide is different on every CD.
In the picture above, the CD is still in plastic (sealed), thus the sticker. The original booklet is glued inside.
