The track was added to the American version of the "Children" album (March 88). In the USA, the band are known as The Mission U.K. as their name had to be changed in America owing to a Philadelphia R&B band with the same moniker. The album was produced by ex-Led Zeppelin bass player, John Paul Jones. Eminem tracked down Aerosmith in Detroit 2002. He played a rough version of the song for them and asked if they minded adding to it. Aerosmith were happy to so Perry put some guitar on a loop that Eminem sent them. "It's great. The song lives again in another form." Perry says. Perry's guitar solo remained on Eminem's record, but Tyler's new vocals for "Dream On" were cut out because Eminem "liked the vibe of the old days better". On the credits for the song are Kennedy/Perry/Roberts/Tyler.
